Welcome...
The LaptopSchools.com annual k12workshop brings together technology directors, technicians and technical engineers from schools across the country, to share their experiences and learn about the latest from Microsoft, Lenovo and each other. Attendees not only formulate deployment and support plans for their Windows based computers, but also gain insight to strategies for mixed hardware & software environments.
The event focuses on computers running Windows 10 and will address imaging, provisioning, management, security and upgrades from a deployment and support perspective. One of Microsoft's top Device Management Specialists for k12 will dig deep into Modern Desktop Management and the lastest, greatest, streamlined tools like InTune and Autopilot. Attendees will discuss their journey from WDS, MDT, WCD and SCCM and how they interact with or migrate to the latest products like Azure, InTune and Autopilot . Microsoft will give an overview of their security strategy and how they are using AI in Azure AD, Advanced Threat Protection and Windows Defender. Server 2019 features, interactions and migration will be discussed. We will also have a Microsoft365 k12 Solution Specialist to provide in-depth and back-end support strategies for Microsoft365, which includes Office 2019, Yammer, Teams, Minecraft with Code Builder, Class Notebook and more. Bryan from the Bodine School will be there to discuss Accessibility Tools and Options in Office 356. This is a hands-on, get-it-done event. The opening day starts with 1:1 introductions and is full of training sessions. At the end of the day Tuesday we formulate a plan for Wednesday and Thursday to meet the needs of attendees. Many technicians leave the event with a solid plan, some with a final configuration and others are just days away from finalizing their deployment onsite. We strive to "leave no question unanswered". This three-day event is packed with 24 hours of hands-on lab sessions, includes transportation, daily lunch and dinner in addition to networking events every night. |
